The Windfelder lab's focus lies in utilizing functional and multimodal imaging techniques to examine insects as alternative models for biomedical research. We utilize medical imaging technologies including computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, positron emission tomography, and photoacoustic imaging to investigate physiological and immunological processes in insects.
